Rigid Heddle Weaving
This class is designed as a basic introduction to the rigid heddle weaving loom and to those new to weaving. This is not intended for someone who already knows how to weave. This class will show you how to warp your loom and how to use the rigid heddle loom. This class is hands-on and a lot of fun! After the class is over we are still available for further guidance and instruction. In this class, we will learn how to make a simple scarf using the yarn of your choice.

Fiber Grading / Sorting Fiber Grading and Sorting is a hands-on, practical application course designed to help you prepare your fleece for commercial processing. Our instruction begins with shearing and ends with packaging for shipment to the processor. This class will teach you the dynamics of using alpaca fiber specifically, but is transferable to other natural fibers as well. Bring one of your own fleeces or practice on any of ours.
Verlene, the Instructor, has completed the Fiber Sorting and Grading Certification through Olds College in Alberta, Canada. She has over nine years experience in the fiber industry both teaching and using various fibers in weaving and loom knitting. Full Day Course

What to do with all that fiber! This discussion is designed show new breeders the potential of alpaca fiber. From Start to Finish, we cover shearing, skirting, fleece preparation, and many potential uses for alpaca fiber. This discussion can be tailored and lengthened for your specific needs.
